Concert Review: Snoop Dogg and Kanye West – A Christian Tale of Two Rappers: Part 1

After reading the title of this review, you are probably asking yourself, “How far has St. Anne’s fallen?” I know. But I’ve been waiting five years to drop this one on you all. And with the news that Kim Kardashian is carrying the spawn of Kanye West, it seemed now was the time to give Snoop and Kanye the special St. Anne’s treatment. Yes, this really is a review of a Snoop Dogg concert and a Kanye West concert that yours truly went to. Dare I admit it?

This is a two parter, with one episode this week, and another episode next week. This review will focus on The Dogg Father. Keep in mind though that this two parter is really about Kanye, and that in our context Snoop Dogg’s concert (interesting as it was) is really a set up for the big pay off next week. We really only have one frequently asked question, and that is, Why St. Anne’s Public House? As for the St. Anne’s part, that's short for the Company of St. Anne’s, a group of very average people who fight off the evil nasties of N.I.C.E in C.S Lewis’ novel, That Hideous Strength. We liked the idea that God uses pretty average people doing average things for His glory. The Public Houses and Coffee Houses of 17th Century England were places for public discourse. So it's the discourse, more than the alcohol, that we are emphasizing. But we do enjoy a nice Shiraz now and again. We used to be a primarily CD based journal.
